Uli College of Education (UCOE) is a private teacher training institution founded by Chief Chukwdoruo Paulinus Uli – akpusi Ifemba. The college is located in the most serene and education friendly enviornment in Uli town, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Nigeria. It is approved by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE), to mount Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes. It was inaugurated on 4th Janunary 2018 by the Catholic Bishop of Orlu Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Augustine T. Ukwuoma. The college commenced academic activities with the pioneer students in the 2017/2018 session.
Uli College of Education is unique as it is established to produce qualitative self-reliant teachers with high moral integrity and strong entrepreneurship backbone by deploying modern teaching facilities and qualified staff.
In addition to academic and moral excellence students of Uli College of Education are expected to achieve a high level of self-reliance through vocational and technical skills acquisition necessary for their self employment, and also to make them proficient in teaching entrepreneurship courses in the basic education curriculum.
It is, therefore, mandatory that every student should choose and specialise in one of the entrepreneurship skills practically taught in the college such as catering services, hair dressing, paint production and painting, fashion/designing, tailoring etc. Students will be awarded with both the NCE certificate and Entrepreneurship competence certificate on the successful completion of their programmes.
